Simply Self Storage (SSS), which owns or manages 221 self-storage facilities in the United States and Puerto Rico, has hired Scott Sebring as its new vice president of operations. Prior to joining the company, Sebring worked for self-storage real estate investment trust Public Storage Inc., where he was originally hired as a district manager based in Chicago and later promoted to divisional vice president. In his most recent role, he oversaw sales and operation for 267 stores across the mid-Atlantic, from Philadelphia to Georgia, and led his division to exceptional achievement in sales and profitability, according to a press release.

“Our focus is on being the best operators in the self-storage business. Adding best-in-class team members like Scott is our goal as we continue our growth,” said CEO Kurt O’Brien.

Headquartered in Orlando, Fla., SSS was founded in 2003. The company’s properties comprise 17 million square feet of storage space.
