StorageMart Acquires, Renovates Ace Mini Storage in Plymouth, MN

StorageMart, a Columbia, Mo.-based self-storage operator with more than 172 facilities in Canada and the United States, has acquired and plans to renovate Ace Mini Storage in Plymouth, Minn. The property at 5525 State Highway 169 Service Drive is one of the largest in the StorageMart portfolio, comprising 83,000 square feet of storage space in 753 climate-controlled and drive-up units, according to a company press release. Renovations are underway to expand and update the management office to offer moving and packing supplies.

The facility includes more than 270 rooftop solar panels, which contribute about 80 percent of the power needed to operate the site, the release stated. Additional property features include covered loading bays, keypad access, perimeter fencing and video cameras. Customers can take advantage of online reservations.

“Easy, clean, service—these are the values every employee embodies and our stores reflect,” said Cris Burnam, president. “Our newest location in Plymouth is well-positioned to continue that mission.”

Founded in 1999, StorageMart is privately owned and operated by the Burnam family, which has been in the storage industry for three generations. It serves more than 75,000 self-storage customers, and operates in Chinese, English, Punjabi, Quebecois French and Spanish.
