Police have issued arrest warrants for two people in connection with an Aug. 20 theft at Budget Self Storage in De Sota, Mo. Michael Giffin, 36, and Stephanie Lipe, 33, have been charged with receiving stolen property, according to the source.

The victim, who owns and lives at the storage property at 12521 Highway 21, reported several items, including a paintball gun and accessories as well as tires and wheels, were stolen from the back of his pickup truck around 3:45 p.m. while the vehicle was parked at the facility. The goods were valued at $2,218, the source reported.

Security footage reviewed by the victim shows a man and woman exiting a red Dodge Ram, looking around and then stealing the items, the source reported. Deputies who reviewed the footage recognized the suspects and identified them as Giffin and Lipe. A warrant was issued for their arrest on Aug. 29, but neither had been taken into custody as of last week. The charge includes one count of receiving stolen property. A $4,000 bond has been set for each suspect, according to the source.
