The Greater Lowndes Planning Commission this week unanimously approved a zoning request for a proposed self-storage development in Valdosta, Ga. The site at 3819 N. Valdosta Road is behind Music Funeral Services. Manager Casey Music was present at the meeting, according to the source.
Music told the commission he was satisfied with the plans for the storage facility. “We worked closely together. Everything we’ve pretty much asked for, they’ve really worked well with us, and I’m satisfied,” he said.
Commission members also discussed their concerns about a possible water hazard due to flooding, and requested the removal of green space.
The storage development will be considered by the Valdosta City Council on Sept. 8.
