New Self-Storage Business Opens in Priest River, ID, Spartan Mixed-Use Complex

Real estate developers Dana and Shane Douglas have opened the Spartan Complex, a mixed-use project in Priest River, Idaho. The development at 5370 U.S. Highway 2 includes Spartan Mini-Storage along with two fitness centers, a coffee shop and a hair salon. The self-storage facility currently offers 193 units, with an expansion to add 10-by-20 units expected to be complete in September, according to the source.

The storage expansion will also include perimeter fencing, lighting and security cameras. Tenants will be given keypad access to enter their units 24 hours per day, the source reported. The Douglas family operates the facility.

The Douglas’ son Tyler operates the Fit Factory gym at the complex. The center also includes Amie’s Train Station, which offers fitness classes. Hair salon The Cutting Crew is expected to relocate to the property in September, and the Beardmore Bistro and Wine Bar plans to relocate its coffee shop to the center under a new name, according to the source. Called The Fueling Station, the eatery will also offer healthy breakfast options, salads, smoothies and wraps.

Shane Douglas is also the varsity football coach at Priest River Lamanna High School.
