Personal Mini Storage, a Florida self-storage operator with 36 locations, has acquired Char-Jen Self Storage in Kissimmee, Fla. The facility is the company’s fifth in the city. The property at 2852 Michigan Ave. is south of Osceola Parkway, a 12.4-mile road that extends east/west across the northern boundary of Osceola County, Fla.

“We’re thrilled to add another store to the Osceola County market and increase our Central Florida footprint,” said Marc Smith, president of Personal Mini. “We are excited to be bringing considerable changes to the project and improving the customer experience.”

Personal Mini plans to upgrade the facility with new fencing and lighting, enhanced gate access, and more unit options, according to a press release. The property will also offer moving and packing supplies, tenant insurance, and U-Haul truck rentals.

Founded in 1982 by brothers Stan and Ron Shader, Personal Mini Storage has remained a family-owned and -operated business for more than 30 years.
