Big Yellow Self Storage in Cheltenham, England, recently teamed up with the Cheltenham Association Football League (CAFL) as well as Bristol Street Motors and GMB Union to donate £3,956 across three charities. The Butterfly Garden, Cheltenham Sports Association for the Disabled and Sue Ryder Care each received a third of the funds during CAFL’s annual meeting on June 8.

CAFL General Secretary Ian Hamilton offered gratitude to Bishops Cleeve Football Club and the Cheltenham Town Football Club for allowing the League to hold its charity-cup finals on their grounds for free, which resulted in a larger donation. "Support from our sponsors is key, and the League would like to thank all of them for their continued support," he said.

The charities are largely self-funded and rely on donations to support operation, according to the source. The Butterfly Garden is an educational, recreational and therapeutic organization that offers activities such as arts and crafts, gardening, and music to disabled people of all ages. Cheltenham Sports organizes swimming sessions and other non-competitive sports for young people with disabilities. Sue Ryder Care is a national charity that provides care for people with end-of-life and long-term needs.

Founded in 1900 and based in England, CAFL is a football competition with five divisions. Its Division One sits at level 14 of the English football-league system, a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs.

Big Yellow Cheltenham is operated by Big Yellow Group PLC. The company has 84 locations in the United Kingdom under the Big Yellow Self Storage and Armadillo Self Storage brand names, with most concentrated in Greater London. Its total portfolio comprises 5.1 million square feet.
