Jenkins Organization to Build a New Self-Storage Facility in Bee Cave, TX

The Jenkins Organization, a Houston-based developer and operator of self-storage facilities, received approval from the city council on May 9 to build a new self-storage facility in Bee Cave, Texas. Development of the 4-acre site at 15110 W. Highway 71 required a special-use permit, according to the source. The city council also required Jenkins to post a fiscal security of $273,501 to fund its pollution-control plan.

Bee Cave Self-Storage will include two buildings comprising 107,995 square feet of storage space as well as a manager’s apartment.

Jenkins currently has15 properties totaling more than 1.5 million square feet of storage space under development, according to its website. The company also recently purchased 23 properties in Minnesota and Texas.

Formed in 1989, The Jenkins Organization owns and manages a portfolio of more than 50 self-storage properties comprising more than 3.5 million square feet in Louisiana, Minnesota, Texas and Virginia.
