Manhattan Mini Storage Opens New Facility in Inwood Neighborhood of NYC

Manhattan Mini Storage, which operates 17 self-storage facilities throughout New York City, has opened a second facility in the neighborhood of Inwood. The property at 290 Dyckman St. comprises 36,000 square feet of storage space.

“Inwood is very special to us,” said Jon Dario, president. “Through our many years at our 5030 Broadway location, we’ve created strong relationships with the people who live and work in this thriving neighborhood. We realized there was a clear demand for even more self-storage options here, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer them at this brand new location.”

Property features include extended hours, individually alarmed units, and a retail store selling moving and packing supplies. The facility also offers many amenities and services found at other Manhattan Mini stores including free assistance with moving belongings into a storage unit; package acceptance; free shelves and hanging rods for use inside storage units; and unlimited rides and priority reservations on the “Storage Taxi,” an oversized minivan that transports customers and their belongings to and from their storage space.

Founded in 1978, Manhattan Mini Storage is part of the Edison Properties network of businesses. Edison also operates Edison ParkFast, a network of 40 garages and lots throughout Baltimore, New York City and Northeast New Jersey. Its other properties include workspace offices, executive offices and pre-built suites, The Hippodrome office building, and The Ludlow, a luxury residential high-rise on the Lower East Side.
