Expansion of JA Mini Storage Approved in South Haven, MI

JA Mini Storage received approval this week to expand its self-storage facility in South Haven, Mich. Township officials had agreed earlier this year to allow one new building to be constructed at 1505 2nd Ave., and then the owner requested approval for a second, according to Patrick Hudson, zoning administrator.

Township officials agreed to the revised site plan on Thursday. The new buildings will be built on a 2-acre site the owner recently purchased just east of the original property, Hudson said.

The first building is expected to be completed in May, according to Connie Johnston, facility manager. A completion date for the second building has yet to be determined.

JA Mini Storage currently has 154 drive-up storage units. It offers 24-hour access and large units for vehicle storage, according to the company website.
