Total Storage Concepts LLC received unanimous approval from the Red Bank, N.J., Planning Board to build a new self-storage facility in the city. The site of the proposed project, at the intersection of Berry Street and Central Avenue, is in an industrial zone but near residential areas.
The three-story, 81,000-square-foot facility will include 525 units and a basement, company principal Jane Tresnan told the board. The company’s survey showed the Red Banks storage market could “handle another self-storage facility,” Tresnan said.
The location will allow the facility to act as a silent, clean buffer between residences and heavy industrial buildings, according to Richard Arzberger, the project’s architect and a principal at Sonnenfeld and Trocchia Architects, P.A.
The development didn’t require any variances, and no one opposed it, according to the source.
Founded in 2003, Total Storage Concepts owns facilities in Bethlehem, Pa., and West Orange, N.J.
