1425 South Pleasantburg LLC is developing a new self-storage facility in Greenville, S.C. Once open, it will be branded as CubeSmart and managed by the publicly traded self-storage real estate investment trust.

The 3.13-acre property at 1450 S. Pleasantburg Drive is near Mauldin Road and across from The Home Depot. The two-story building will comprise 74,000 square feet of storage space in 530 drive-up and climate-controlled units.

Construction will begin in the second or third quarter of 2016, according to the source. The facility will open in early 2017. 

The property developer is based in Charlotte, N.C. The registered agent is Joe F. Teague Jr.

CubeSmart owns or manages 674 self-storage facilities across the United States. Its operating portfolio comprises more than 41 million square feet.
