Self-Storage Manager Indicted for Allegedly Embezzling More than $86K From Facility in Troy, NY

A self-storage manager was indicted this week for allegedly embezzling $86,334 over nearly three years from a facility in Troy, N.Y. Anne Narzynski, 43, was arrested on Oct. 30, 2013, but released on bail. She’s been charged with criminal possession of stolen property and falsifying business records for failure to record rent payments at Brunswick Self Storage, according to the source.

The self-storage owner became suspicious of Narzynski after noticing money wasn’t being deposited, authorities said. Investigators allege the manager kept customer payments from Jan. 1, 2011 to Oct. 14, 2013, the source reported.

The case was turned over to the Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office in December 2013. A grand jury handed down the indictment on Thursday.

Brunswick Self Storage at 40 Brick Church Road is open 24 hours, seven days per week.
