Self-Storage Firm Investment Real Estate Management Celebrates Successful Charity Drives

Investment Real Estate Management LLC (IREM), a property-management and consulting firm specializing in the self-storage industry, collected food and toys in November and December at its 13 stores in Maryland and Pennsylvania to benefit several local charities. More than 900 food items were donated to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in Harrisburg, Pa., Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore, Water Street Mission in Lancaster, Pa., and York Rescue Mission in York, Pa. The facilities also collected 299 toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots chapters in Baltimore County, Md., and Lancaster and York counties, Pa.

The property manager who collected the most donations was awarded a gift card. The winner, Amber Galloway, manager of Moove In Self Storage at 140 Morgan Lane in York, Pa., collected 215 food items and 76 toys. Suzi Conner, manager of Moove In Self Storage at 2290 Greenbriar Road, also in York, came in second with 212 food donations. Tyranni Rineer, manager of Moove In Self Storage at 1250 Shreiner Station Road in Lancaster, Pa., collected 209 food items.

“I’m very proud of all our managers and so happy we could help out less fortunate families in the communities we serve. It’s a great feeling to know we helped local kids have a gift to open on Christmas morning and a meal to eat,” said Jess Dubbs, director of marketing for Investment Real Estate LLC (IRE), IREM’s parent company.

Promotion for the charity drives was executed through an e-mail to customers, social media and posters at each store as well as the company’s business partners. IREM plans to host more holiday-charity drives this year, according to a company press release.

Since its inception in 1998, IRE has provided brokerage, construction, development and management services to self-storage owners and investors. It also has a construction division, Investment Real Estate Construction LLC.
