Self-Storage Management Firm Storage Asset Management Hosts Summer Canned-Food Drive

Canned food donated by tenants at Albany Super Storage in New York.The 52 properties managed by Storage Asset Management Inc. (SAM), a property-management and consulting firm serving the self-storage industry, recently donated more than 300 food items collected at the company’s facilities in July to local food pantries. Self-storage tenants who donated cans received a rental discount, according to a press release.

Summer is a critical time for food banks because they receive fewer donations, according to the release. “We are so grateful to our property managers for their work in promoting this initiative. We are really pleased with the results and the ability to make this donation to local food banks,” said Melissa Stiles, SAM’s marketing manager.

Founded in 2010 and based in York, Pa., SAM is a property-management and consulting company that oversees storage facilities and three UPS Stores along the East Coast.
