Centreforce Technology Group Renames Its Self-Storage Marketing and Web-Services Division

Centreforce Technology Group Pty. Ltd., an Australia-based provider of facility-management software, marketing services and technology tools to the self-storage industry, has changed the name of its in-house graphic-design and Web-services division, WebStor, to R6 Web Design to differentiate it from Google’s Chrome Web Store.

“If you can’t beat Google, then change,” said Dallas Dogger, managing director for Centreforce. “When we came up with the name ‘WebStor’ five years ago, we did not expect Google to launch its own Web store for its own apps. This has caused confusion for users searching for our brand.”

The quest for a new name began four months ago, according to a recent Centreforce e-newsletter. Jake Hart, the company’s senior-graphic designer, created a new logo and revamped the WebStor website to support the name change. The site also features examples of the company’s work, including redesigns and online-marking campaigns it has produced for several self-storage companies.

Based in Strathpine, Queensland, Australia, Centreforce provides software and technology tools to the self-storage and motorsport industries as well as small businesses. Through R6, the company provides media, print and Web services including advertising, branding, e-mail design and marketing, online marketing, photography, video production, website design and more. Centreforce also provides District Manager income and auditing software; sales and support for SiteLink Web Edition self-storage management software in Australia and Southeast Asia; and the RapidStor online-reservations system to users in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
