The Moove In Self Storage – Centerville facility at 22 Prestige Lane in Lancaster, Pa., is undergoing a series of physical upgrades that are scheduled to be complete this summer. Purchased by the storage operator last August, the property is a satellite location to another of the same name at 220 Centerville Road, also in Lancaster. It was added as an expansion to the original site, according to a press release by Investment Real Estate LLC (IRE), the property-management and consulting firm overseeing the renovation.

Improvements to the add-on property include new roofs and insulation for all storage buildings, new building trim and panel replacement as necessary, new door springs and latches, and door painting. Upgrades will also be made to the security system including the access gate, keypads, lighting and video cameras. Repairs will be made to the pavement. All work is being done by Investment Real Estate Construction LLC, IRE’s construction division.

Moove In added 22,900 square feet to its existing 50,000 square feet of storage space at the main Centerville Road property last year. The addition included a new office and some climate-controlled and outside-access units. IRE has previously been involved with the property, providing a feasibility study, construction management, property management and brokerage services.

Since its inception in 1998, IRE has provided brokerage, construction, development and management services to self-storage owners and investors. Its construction arm was founded in 2000 and has built more than 2 million square feet of self-storage space in eight states.

Moove-In Self Storage operates 15 facilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
