New Apple Self Storage Facility Opens in Oakville, Ontario, Canada

Updated 6/2/16 – Apple Self Storage has opened a new facility in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Situated on the corner of Third Line and Wyecroft Road, the property is just steps from Bronte Go Station, a train station in the GO Transit network that serves Greater Toronto, according to a company press release.

The company converted the existing 101,320-square-foot industrial building to include a range of storage units, from 25 square feet to 1,000 square feet, all with ground-level access. Commercial clients can choose the company’s “deluxe” package, which includes delivery acceptance.

"We’re very proud to increase our investment in the Oakville community. The area is a wonderful place to live and work, and we’re excited to be a part of Oakville area growth story,” said David Allan, business development manager.

The facility also has 42 “Apple Suites.” The 8,000 square feet of flexible office space feature distinctive architecture and progressive design elements, the release said.

“Our new Oakville location will give Apple Suites the ability to deliver extraordinary office space and flexible warehousing to small to mid-sized businesses,” Allan said. “We’re excited to bring our model of cost-effective, efficient, flexible office space to the Oakville market, and bring the synergy of flexible storage/warehousing to our clients. It’s a great alternative to traditional commercial office space with so much more to offer.”

5/29/15 – Apple Self Storage, which operates 23 locations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario, Canada, is building a new facility in Oakville, Ontario. The property at 700 Third Line, slated to open in December, will encompass 80,000 square feet of climate-controlled storage space. All of the units will include individual alarms, according to the company website.

The facility will also include the company’s second “Apple Suites,” an office and business center. The 13,000-square-foot space will offer a modern boardroom, reception and concierge services, and Wi-Fi.

The project is near downtown Oakville and Queen Elizabeth Way, a highway that links Toronto with the Niagara Peninsula and Buffalo, N.Y. “This Oakville facility adds a high-quality, in-fill store to our growing portfolio. This facility is in a solid retail location—a growth market with excellent demographics that we feel is presently underserved when it comes to premium climate-controlled storage,” said Phil Allan, president.

Apple Self Storage is actively pursuing growth through acquisitions, development and third-party management, according to its website. The company offers standard and premium storage units, mailbox rental, package acceptance, hold-key service, and packing and moving supplies.
