Green Door Self Storage, a division of warehousing company Onward Holdings Ltd., recently relocated its single self-storage facility to a new purpose-built building at the Green Lane Industrial Estate in Featherstone, a town and civil parish in the City of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. Just minutes from the M62 highway, the property is within a desirable northern distribution area in the United Kingdom, according to the source. Many of the company’s existing customers relocated to the new facility.

The move is part of Onward Holdings’ strategy to upgrade its properties to be more user-friendly, the source reported. Green Door customers can enter the property any time, which appeals to tenants with busy lives, according to Neil Storey, sales director. “People can access their belongings 24/7. A lot of self-storage companies close at 5.30 p.m. or on a Sunday, but we give customers key fobs, and they can come any time of the day or night,” Storey said.

The facility’s security measures include video cameras and gate access via a mobile-phone app. The 84 storage units range in size from 15 square feet to 160 square feet, the source reported.
