Boat/RV Self-Storage Facility Approved in Plover, WI

Real estate developer Erbes Up North LLC recently received approval to build a self-storage facility in Plover, Wis. The vacant property at 1421 Contractor’s Blvd. will house a 6,120-square-foot storage facility specializing in vehicle storage. The structure will contain 15 garage-style units capable of storing construction equipment and recreational vehicles, according to the source. The village board unanimously approved the application.

The facility is expected to open by the end of August. "We want to have it ready for end-of-summer or fall storage," said Rob Erbes, vice president of Erbes Construction Ltd., a local, family-owned construction business. Erbes Up North is an affiliated company.

The Erbes family owns neighboring property on which it intends to expand the construction business, which will also make use of the storage facility, according to the source.

The facility will provide a place for residents to store large equipment and vehicles if they are prohibited from doing so on their own property, Erbes told the source. Storage-unit doors will be 14 feet tall by 12 feet wide to accommodate boats, motor homes and trailers. Some units will be heated.

"It's a really nice business," said Tom Davies, village president. "It'll be a nice addition to the village."
