Fuhlman will manage the association’s member functions and assist in the planning of statewide events, including its annual conference. She’ll also work closely with GASSA President Anne Ballard and the board committee to further the professionalism, legislative representation and education of Georgia self-storage owners, operators and developers, according to a press release.

Georgia Self Storage Association Hires New Executive Director

The Georgia Self Storage Association (GASSA) has appointed Amy Fuhlman as its new executive director. Fuhlman will manage the association’s member functions and assist in the planning of statewide events, including its annual conference. She’ll also work closely with GASSA President Anne Ballard and the board committee to further the professionalism, legislative representation and education of Georgia self-storage owners, operators and developers, according to a press release.

Amy-Fuhlman-Georgia-Self-Storage-Association***Fuhlman was previously the director of marketing for Janus International Group, a manufacturer of self-storage roll-up doors and building components, where she managed the marketing-communications program. Having joined the company in 2006, she was responsible for its advertising, copywriting, website management and tradeshow participation.

Before her time at Janus, Fuhlman worked as a marketing coordinator for IPS-Sendero (now known as Fiserv) and as an exhibit manager for several companies including Constructware, Lanier Worldwide and WebMD. She’s also a frequent contributor to self-storage trade publications, including “Inside Self-Storage.”

GASSA provides legislative protection, educational programs and networking opportunities for self-storage professionals in Georgia. It is affiliated with the national Self Storage Association.
