Santas Workshop at Hooksett, NJ, Self-Storage Facility Enjoys Its Final Season

Profile Self Storage in Hooksett, N.H., which has created a “Santa’s Workshop” in its management office for the public over past five years, is hosting one last holiday event before a community resident, who simply goes by “Santa,” and his helpers retire. The facility at 180 Londonderry Turnpike is owned by David, Ken and Paul Scarpetti.

The community tradition began 15 years ago in Santa’s own garage, which doubled as a workshop complete with a wood stove and work stations for the elves. He and his wife eventually expanded their festive decorations to include the entire back yard, but the venue was still too small, Santa told the source. Santa’s Workshop drew 125 people the first year and about 2,400 last year, the source reported.

Each child who visits the workshop receives a handmade, wooden toy crafted by a local volunteer. Kids can also have their picture taken with Santa or build a toy from a kit. Refreshments are provided. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. through Saturday.

Profile Self Storage is family-owned and -operated. In addition to traditional storage, the facility offers boat/RV storage.
