Self-Storage Auction Company iBid4Storage.com Partners With Hammer Down Auctions of Florida

iBid4Storage.com, which offers an online marketplace for self-storage auction sellers and bidders, is partnering with Hammer Down Auctions Inc., a Florida-based self-storage auction company, to offer live auction services to iBid4Storage customers.

“We decided to align ourselves with Hammer Down Auctions to provide additional added value to our self-storage clients,” said Y. Leon Benghiat, iBid4Storage.com President. “For our Florida clients, Hammer Down will continue to create the auction schedules, provide expertise and consultations, file reviews and lien searches, and provide lock-cutting services. The synergy created by combing the forces of our two companies will be a win for our self-storage clients as well as our auction bidders.”

iBid4Storage.com uses an eBay-style format in which self-storage operators post pictures and videos of units up for auction, along with descriptions of unit contents. Potential buyers can bid on units via their computer, tablet or smartphone after they sign up for a free website account. The system allows bidders to participate in auctions outside of their immediate area and pick up the items in the days following the lien sale. The company offers interested parties the opportunity to demo its online-auction platform upon request.

West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Hammer Down plans to expand its services to work with iBid4Storage.com customers in other states, said company owner Jack Ballentine, who has more than 26 years of self-storage management experience.

Based in Toronto, Canada, iBid4Storage.com has been managing self-storage locations and involved in the storage-auction process in Canada and the United States for more than 20 years.
