Self-Storage Marketplace SpareFoot Launches Spring-Cleaning Consumer Contest

SpareFoot, an online marketplace for the self-storage industry, is sponsoring a spring-cleaning contest through social media, encouraging consumers to organize and declutter their homes and businesses. The company will give away one $500 gift card from Crate & Barrel to the winner of the contest, which ends on April 12.

To enter, consumers can visit the contest tab on SpareFoot’s Facebook page, then write a brief description of how $500 worth of storage solutions would help organize their life. They must also “like” SpareFoot on Facebook and follow the company on Twitter. Contestants can also earn bonus entries by sharing details of the contest on Facebook and Twitter.

SpareFoot’s Spring Cleaning Committee will select the top storage story from the 10 contestants who submit the most entries.

Founded in 2008, SpareFoot.com helps consumers find and reserve self-storage units, with comparison shopping tools that show real-time availability and exclusive deals. With a network of more than 7,000 storage facilities ranging from mom-and-pop operations to real estate investment trusts, the company reaches prospective storage renters though partnerships with brands including SelfStorage.com, Apartments.com and Penske Truck Rental.
