Trachte Building Systems, a manufacturer and supplier of self-storage buildings, has hired additional engineering staff and purchased new manufacturing equipment for increased production capacity, company officials said in a press release.

Matt Weidner, engineering manager, and Jerry Neis, senior engineering technician, have rejoined Trachte after previously working for the company four years ago and two years ago, respectively. Weidner will lead a team dedicated to designing and listing multi-story and other complex self-storage structures.

The company has also installed a new Muratec turret punch press to decrease fabrication time and increase capacity. The company expects the press to reduce downtime and operate faster than previous equipment. It will be used primarily to fabricate Trachte’s smooth, 18-gauge jambs and headers, officials said.

Based in Sun Prairie, Wis., Trachte designs, manufactures and erects a full line of pre-engineered steel building systems and portable-storage containers. Its customized self-storage systems include single- and multi-story, interior partition and corridor, and canopy boat/RV. The company has more than 113 years of manufacturing experience.
