Secure Self Storage in Coney Island, NY, Continues to Offer Aid in Hurricane Sandy Recovery Efforts

Secure Self Storage, which operates self-storage facilities in the Northeast United States and Canada, continues to offer free storage rentals to Coney Island, N.Y., residents affected by last years Hurricane Sandy. The company, one of the few to operate self-storage in the area, began offering residents one month of free storage shortly after the Oct. 29 storm.

Coney Island is a very tight community. When it came to supporting each other during the time of Sandy, we thought providing free storage will be a great way for us to give back to the community. said Bill Green, district manager. We are the only self-storage facility on Coney Island, and thus, we are instrumental in the clean-up processwhich, despite it being almost a year, is still ongoing. Many people were displaced by the storm, and we are providing an essential service while people fix their homes, remodel, clean up, etc. Life is slowly coming to normalcy, and we are committed in supporting our community until recovery completes.

Secure Self Storage also provides a free truck service for tenant move-in, packing supplies and a variety of unit sizes. Facility features include covered loading, drive-up units, climate-controlled storage and individually alarmed units. The company operates facilities in Delaware, Massachusetts, New York, Washington, D.C., and Toronto, Canada.
