Hockey Star Bryan Bickell to Meet Fans at Uncle Bob's Self Storage Facility in Illinois

Chicago Blackhawks hockey star Bryan Bickell will appear at an Uncle Bob's Self Storage facility in Schaumburg, Ill., on Sept.7. He will be at the facility at 1401 N. Plum Grove Road from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. CDT to greet fans and participate in a video-game tournament.

The event is open to the public, with the autograph session running the full two hours. The video-game tournament, which features Mario Kart games, begins at 2 p.m. Registration is from 1 p.m. to 1:50 p.m., with 16 participants randomly selected to participate. Players will be hosted on a mobile-gaming truck provided by Rolling Video Games Chicago. Bickell will ultimately face off against the tourney winner.

Bickell plays left wing for the Blackhawks. He was drafted into the National Hockey League in 2004 from the Ottawa 67s in the Ontario Hockey League. Bickell finished with 17 points in 23 playoff games in 2012. The Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup Championship five times, most recently in June.

"We know the team played Mario Kart during their Stanley Cup run, so the event seemed like a natural fit, said Tom Dahlin, area manager for Uncle Bobs Chicago facilities. This is bound to be a fun event for the community, and we cant wait to see Bryan and a lucky fan in action.

Uncle Bobs is owned by Sovran Self Storage Inc., a real estate investment trust that owns and manages more than 450 storage facilities in 25 states. The company currently has 11 self-storage locations in the Chicago area.
