StorageBattles.com, a website offering online-auction services for self-storage businesses, has created a partnership that will allow its online auctions to be viewed by members of StorageUnitAuctionList.com. This integrated list of online and onsite lien sales will provide users with an extensive list of available self-storage auctions throughout the United States.
“We are excited about our new partnership with StorageUnitAuctionList.com, a cutting-edge company that understands the technological benefits of online auctions and our overall acceptance in this industry,” said Jim Grant, CEO of StorageBattles.com. “This represents an opportunity to introduce traditional storage auction attendees to the emerging channel of Internet storage auctions.”
“Our goal is to give each of our loyal subscriber’s access to more storage auctions than any other website, allowing them to win more units and make more money," added Ryan Beierlein, vice president of operations at StorageUnitAuctionList.com. "This partnership is a huge win for our users.”
A recent poll by the Self Storage Association indicates the national average of loss recovery for storage facilities is only 50 percent. Using the latest available technology, StorageBattles.com recovers an average of 117 percent, while virtually eliminating the cost of holding an onsite auction, according to a company press release. “Today the online auction process outweighs the benefits of traditional onsite auctions, not only in terms of additional loss recovery but also as a means of reducing operational expenses,” said Grant.
StorageBattles.com, which allows self-storage operators to post their auctions online, was created by storage-industry veterans with more than 30 years of experience who were frustrated by the inadequacies of onsite auctions. The site was designed to increase auction efficiency and alleviate frustrations experienced by operators and bidders. There are currently more than 3,500 self-storage facilities and 250,000 buyers registered with the site.
StorageUnitAuctionList.com provides information on more than 10,000 auctions each month to its tens of thousands of paid subscribers. Since the company's founding in 2011, it has provided information on more than 250,000 storage auctions and a million individual units.
