TaxiBox, a mobile self-storage operator based in Melbourne, Australia, has launched phase two of its national expansion strategy with the addition of interstate moves and transportation service, with a fixed price for interstate moves across all Australian cities.

Nor will customers need to drive a costly rental truck interstate," said co-founder Ben Cohn. TaxiBox started in Melbourne in 2010 and expanded its service to Sydney in December 2012. The new interstate service starts at $500 for a direct move between the Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas, according to co-founder Jeremy Rosen.

TaxiBox is noted for the taxi motif the company uses on its trucks and storage pods. Units are wrapped in bright-yellow covers that feature black-and-white checkered striping synonymous with yellow taxi cabs. The covers also feature the companys marketing slogan in a graphical display: We Deliver, You Pack, We Store.
