StorageAhead Adds Self-Storage Customer-Review Capability for WebWorks Clients

StorageAhead, a provider of online-marketing services for the self-storage industry, has added a built-in review system for clients of WebWorks, a Web-design and marketing service for larger operators. A "Write a Review" button is now located on the right-hand side of the website, as well as on each storage facility page. Customers can rate a facility from one to five stars depending on their level of satisfaction. They also can provide written reviews.

Customers who rate a facility with three or more stars are prompted to leave reviews on other local online systems, such as Yelp and Google+ Local. Testimonials receiving less than three stars can be reviewed by facility management and responded to through an e-mail or phone call with customers. This was done to enable operators to reach out personally, rather than publicly, to address any unpleasant experiences communicated by customers, StorageAhead officials said.

"When storage facility customers leave a review on a website, not only are they providing free, user-generated content that helps the website's ranking on the search engines, they're also providing an authentic reference for potential renters who value others' opinions highly while shopping online," said Dan Miller, CEO.

Other recent updates to WebWorks include the addition of a self-storage space calculator and a way for operators to include text about current specials on the storage unit table.

StorageAhead’s online marketing-support services also include StorageFront.com, an online directory of self-storage facilities.
