Storage Village Self Storage Invites Local Artists to Paint Unit Doors in Community Contest

Storage Village Self Storage is hosting the inaugural Village Illuminated Art Contest at its facility in North Bethesda, Md. The contest invites local artists to decorate unit doors and vie for cash prizes. Each participating artist will have eight hours on April 14 to turn a 7- by 8-foot unit door into artwork depicting the phrase "community service."

The event is meant to showcase local artists, beautify our community and celebrate Storage Village's commitment to community service, company officials said.

The company is encouraging artists of all ages and experience to participate. Applications will be accepted through March 31. Artists can choose to work with acrylic or spray paint, which will be provided by Storage Village. A panel of judges will award cash prizes to the top three paintings.

I am so grateful to be able to inspire and ignite art within my community, said J. Goldberg, director of marketing. By supporting art within the community, individuals are encouraged to think creatively and share their ideas."

Storage Village has four self-storage locations in Maryland and one in Virginia.
