Guardian Storage Solutions Buys 2 Self-Storage Facilities in the Pittsburgh-Metro Area

Guardian Storage Solutions, a self-storage operator in the Pittsburgh area, has acquired two facilities from The Lock Up Storage Centers of Pennsylvania that serve the areas of Cranberry and North Huntingdon Township. No financial terms were disclosed. The purchase increases the number of Guardian locations in Pittsburgh to 12. The company also operates four facilities in Colorado.

The properties will operate under the Guardian Self Storage name. The new locations will help the company better serve customers in the northern Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Cranberry, Warrendale, Marshall and Wexford, and the eastern neighborhoods of Irwin, North Huntingdon, Murrysville, North Versailles, Jeannette and Greensburg, said company president Steven Cohen.

Both of these state-of-the-art properties provide excellent space options, security and easy access for customers, while allowing us to expand our footprint in the region, Cohen said.

Employees working at both facilities will be absorbed by Guardian, with additional staff expected to be hired as well, company officials said.

Both locations will offer the same slate of self-storage services and amenities available at other Guardian facilities, including climate-controlled units, meeting spaces and free Wi-Fi.

Guardian Storage Solutions is the parent company of Guardian Storage Property Management, Guardian Storage Development and Guardian Self Storage.
