All Canadian Self Storage, a Toronto-based self-storage operator, has partnered with Toronto Recycling to host a series of fundraising events this month at each of its five Ontario facilities. Customers and community members are invited to discard old electronics and participate in raffle drawings and contests to win prizes.

Toronto Recycling will donate money based on the weight of the electronics brought in by patrons. Recycled electronics are diverted away from local landfills. All proceeds raised during each event will be donated to a charity affiliated with that particular host facility.

The first event will be held this Saturday with another scheduled for Sept. 22. Three events will be held simultaneously on Sept. 29. The full schedule is as follows:

All Canadian Self Storage has made helping local community groups a company priority. In 2010, the company hosted an event that raised more than $25,000 for Opera Atelier. For the past seven years, it has provided free storage space to The Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada, a national nonprofit organization providing free information and support to those affected with breast cancer. The company also offers free storage space to military personnel serving in combat zones.
