Storage Post Creates Professional Internship Program in Atlanta

Storage Post Self Storage has introduced a professional internship program at its corporate headquarters in Atlanta. The self-storage operator began the internship program to support business experience as a vital aspect of a student's education.

The internship opportunity is offered within the marketing and communications department and is open to college students in the area. The intern assists with the implementation of company-wide communication strategies and marketing methods, and provides administrative and creative media support.

We decided to create an internship position, not only to meet an office need, but to encourage students to gather real-world business skills. Applicable knowledge and hands-on experience make all the difference in the job market, and Storage Post supports Atlanta talent, said Susie O'Connell, vice president of communications.

Storage Post's internship opportunity is a paid position, with intangible benefits to be gained, such as exposure to a variety of real estate operations, experience with corporate communications and insights into marketing strategies for the self-storage industry. The first Storage Post marketing and communications intern joined the team in May 2012.

Storage Post has locations throughout the East Coast and is actively pursuing self-storage acquisitions.
