Self-Storage Operator StorageMart Sponsors 5K Run/Walk to Benefit Blair’s Tree of Hope

Self-storage operator StorageMart is sponsoring a 5k run/walk May 19 in Rockford, Minn., to benefit Blair’s Tree of Hope, a nonprofit that assists families of children battling terminal illnesses.

Blair’s Tree of Hope is a tenant at the StorageMart Hopkins, Minn., self-storage property. The aim of the inaugural event at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve is to raise $15,000 for the charity.

Founded in 2007 by Tom and Kim Anderson in honor of the memory of their daughter, the mission of Blair’s Tree of Hope is to help the families of children who have been hospitalized with a life-threatening illness. Blair was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005 when she was 14 years old. She succumbed to the illness after a two-year battle.

This sponsorship is just the latest charitable effort from StorageMart. The company works with national and local nonprofit organizations in many of the markets in which it operates. Additionally, StorageMart assists students pursuing higher education with its ScholarSmarts Scholarship Program.

Headquartered in Columbia, Mo., StorageMart is a full-service, self-storage company with more than 130 locations across the United States and Canada. StorageMart Gives is the charitable arm of the company, striving to identify partner organizations in each of the company’s home markets.
