Florida Self Storage Association Presents Free Webinar on Employment Law

The Florida Self Storage Association (FSSA) will present a webinar discussing human-resources issues in self-storage at 2 p.m. EDT on April 10. The event is free for association members.

Topics for the webinar, "Human Resources: Employment Law Challenges in 2012," will include the importance of documentation, retaliation, disability law, wage-and-hour litigation, and social media in the workplace. Terri Gower of ADP TotalSource will present, and Robert Bret, FSSA executive director, will moderate.

Gower is a senior human resources business partner in the Tampa, Fla., office of ADP TotalSource, a professional employer organization. Her responsibilities include consulting with clients in employee relations, investigations, state and federal compliance, management training, and benefits-plan designs. Her customers include the property-management, retail, manufacturing and hospitality industries, with company sizes ranging from 10 to 1500 employees.

The FSSA is a non-profit organization of businesspeople involved in the self-storage industry in Florida. Its members include facility owners, operators, vendors, developers, investors, property managers and suppliers.
