A mens cycling team sponsored by SmartStop Self Storage, the retail brand for Strategic Storage Trust Inc., captured its third consecutive USA CRITS Championship Series title.

The self-storage company signed on as the presenting sponsor of the 2011 Team Mountain Khakis (TMK) cycling team of Jackson Hole, Wyo. TMK is focused on educating, developing and advancing a team of eight young riders (average age of 23). The team was created five years ago under the primary sponsorship of Mountain Khakis, an outdoor-lifestyle apparel company also based in Jackson Hole.

TMK's Luke Keough won the men's overall championship, also the third straight time that a member of the Team Mountain Khakis p/b SmartStop team took top honors. Teammate Neil Bezdek finished fifth in the nine-event season, which began April 30 in Athens, Ga., before culminating in Beantown.

The company will sponsor the team again in 2012. All eight riders on the TMK team have been re-signed for 2012, and additional roster moves are expected to be announced this fall.
