Uncle Bob's Self Storage Helps Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger

Sovran Self Storage Inc., a self-storage real estate investment trust, has designated each of its Uncle Bobs Self Storage locations as official collection points to assist in this years Stamp Out Hunger campaign, led by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). The company is also donating the use of its fleet of trucks to assist in the distribution efforts as needed.

Stamp out Hunger, Saturday, May 14, is the nations largest single-day food drive. Since 1993, the drive has collected more than one billion pounds of food for community food banks and pantries. Postal customers are asked to leave a sturdy bag of non-perishable food items such as soup, canned vegetables, pasta or rice next to their mailbox prior to the regular delivery time.

Hunger continues to plague millions of Americans said Diane Piegza, vice president of communications for Uncle Bobs Self Storage. We have been avid supporters of the Food Bank of WNY for many years; it seems only natural to extend our assistance to the NALC in all of our markets. Stamp Out Hunger is truly a national call for help.

Also supporting the drive as national partners are the U.S. Postal Service, the National Rural Letter Carriers Association, Campbell Soup Co., Valpak, the AFL-CIO, and the United Way. For more information about the Stamp Out Hunger food drive, visit www.helpstampouthunger.com.
