Community Self Storage of Cape Coral Hosts Sale to Benefit Veterans

Community Self Storage in Cape Coral, Fla., will host a community yard sale tomorrow to benefit the local Invest in Americas Veterans Foundation. The facility chose May 21 as the date for the event because the third Saturday in May is the traditional celebration of Armed Forces Day, according to an article in the Cape Coral Daily Breeze.

The public is invited to the sale, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., which will feature yard-sale bargains, music, raffles, vendors and lots of food.

Invest in Americas Veterans was founded with the intention of helping veterans in need. The foundations team is comprised entirely of volunteers.

The fundraiser is one in a series of events organized by Edna Quintana, manager of Community Self Storage. "We have a large spacious area, and we are the most centrally located storage facility in the Cape. It makes the perfect place to hold events that give back to our community, which is a big part of our corporate philosophy," Quintana told the Daily Breeze. "I was raised in the military. My dad served in the Army for 27 years. Consequently, vets are near and dear to my heart, so I'm very excited to invite everyone to come enjoy the fun, festivities and yard sale treasures on this special day!"

Sale sponsors include The Resort at Marina Village, Arthur Printing, Costco and the City of Cape Coral Economic Development Office.
