Self-Storage Auction Directory Website Gains Popularity With Public

On the wake of reality TV shows Storage Wars and Auction Hunters, the American public is becoming increasingly interested in the prospect of self-storage auctions. Website FindSelfStorageAuctions.com, a comprehensive nationwide directory of auction listings, is helping people find auctions in their area for free. Its also helping self-storage operators publicize their events.

The website allows users to search for self-storage auctions based on various parameters such as date/time, state, city, ZIP code, facility name, number of units being auctioned, unit contents and even auctioneer. The service is free to the public for searching. On the operational side, self-storage association members can post their auctions for a fee.

FindSelfStorageAuctions.com was originally launched in 2009 by Richard Marmor and James Appleton, both executive members of the Arizona Self Storage Association. Marmor is the chair of the AZSSA Legal & Legislative Committee and the associations lobbyist at the Arizona legislature. He is also president of Arbour Development Co., through which he operates two Phoenix self-storage facilities. Appleton is the chair of the associations Communications Committee and an expert in website design and development.
