The California Self Storage Association will host its 5th annual Owners Symposium, April 12, at The Lesher Center in Walnut Creek, Calif. The event will include four educational sessions as well as an evening cocktail hour. The education sessions will cover:
Pending legislation and new laws, taught by Ron Kingston of the California Political Consulting Group. Kingston will explore some of the most egregious legislation that will adversely impact every self-storage business.
Employment law, taught by Lisa Barnett Sween and Nicole Bosen of Lewis, Beisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP. These speakers will discuss laws relating to employment and ways to avoid claims relating to harassment, retaliation and wages and hours.
Real estate market trends, presented by Hessam Nadji of Marcus & Millichap. Nadji has more than 20 years of experience in real estate research, marketing and technology management and has been a frequent guest on CNBC and Fox news business programs.
The power of social media, presented by Cherie Del Carlo of Gather Your Crowd. Del Carlo, who specializes in online marketing, branding and communications, will share ways to use social technologies as conduits for meaningful interaction and commercial exchange.
