Applications for the Inside Self-Storage (ISS) Humanitarian Service Awards, which recognize self-storage companies or professionals who volunteer time, expertise, resources or funds to assist those in need, are due on Nov. 21. This year, ISS will give four $2,000 grants, made payable to the nonprofit organization, project, event or program being supported. Individuals may nominate themselves, their own companies or other eligible candidates or companies. All nominees must be directly connected to the self-storage industry.
Detailed program guidelines and an application form can be found at www.insideselfstorage.com/humanitarian_award. Winners will be notified in writing by Dec. 15 and formally recognized at the Inside Self-Storage World Expo in Las Vegas, Jan. 26-29, 2009.
ISS is a dynamic-services company that provides resources and services to the industry including a monthly magazine, bi-annual tradeshows, an information-packed website and educational seminars and materials. The company aims to recognize and bolster the philanthropic efforts of storage companies involved in community and charitable programs.
