Digitech’s new integration improvements interface its DigiGate and DigiView software. Each activity within the access-control software is assigned to a specific camera view recorded by the company’s DigiView Digital Recording System. Any event in the access-control system or the individual door-alarm system is instantly viewable through an on-screen search. Stored information about the activity is coordinated to a particular camera and includes the coded ID information, unit number, time and date. The digital video-recording system can be configured for up to 32 cameras and features an embedded operating system that drastically improves operating speed compared to Windows 98, 2000 or XP. It runs in read-only memory, which speeds up operation, isolates the system from virus infection, gives faster re-starts, and combines all the features of a PC DVR with the stability of an embedded system.
