CEO of OB Cos./Simply Self Storage Forms Cancer Foundation

Kurt O’Brien, CEO of OB Cos./Simply Self Storage has formed the Kurt O’Brien (KOB) Foundation, raising money to educate children and young adults on issues of cancer prevention and healthy living. The organization will provide educational materials to help youths understand the causes and treatments of the various forms of the disease and provide a positive influence for avoiding related risks.
 
“As a cancer survivor, I know the disease can be beaten; but one of the keys to defeating it is early detection,” said O’Brien. “As a child growing up, I was not educated on the importance of early detection of cancer or its symptoms. Our goal at the KOB Foundation is to change the perception of our youth about cancer awareness through informative educational materials.”
