ISS to Offer Legal Learning Seminar at Reno-Tahoe Expo

Inside Self-Storage (ISS) and industry legal expert Jeffrey Greenberger will offer a three-hour Legal Learning seminar at the ISS Summer Expo, July 24-27, 2007, in Reno-Tahoe, Nev. An extension of the popular webinar series hosted monthly by ISS and Greenberger, the new in-person offering will cover important legal issues every owner/operator should know:

  • Lien Sales: How to conduct a sale, including all the important checks and cross checks to conduct beforehand; when to stop a sale; appropriate rules and releases to guide the process.

  • Facility Rules and Regulations: Why you need them and what they should include.

  • Abandonment: When can you declare abandonment and whether a tenant can legally abandon a unit to an operator. 

The seminar will also touch on important issues relating to the storage of vehicles and include some time for questions and answers. Attendees will receive a workbook to accompany the session material. The event will take place on Friday, July 27, at 9:45 a.m. Separate registration is required.
