Making Maintenance a Priority
Facility maintenance is an important component to keeping a self-storage facility in good standing with tenants and community residents. From the parking lot to the unit doors, operators understand maintenance is a year-round priority. This includes keeping doors working properly, clearing away weeds and debris, cleaning doors and hallways, sweeping the walkways, and conducting any repairs.
While most self-storage owners and managers will handle small maintenance tasks, sometimes they call on a third-party professional to tackle the bigger jobs. Companies like Accent Building Restoration (ABR) offer a variety of services including cosmetic construction, painting, maintenance and other repairs. Here ABR president James Fawcett shows off the company’s ISS Best of Business award in the "Best Maintenance Products & Services" category.
