Jeffrey Greenberger, a partner in the law firm Katz, Greenberger & Norton LLP in Cincinnati and the mastermind behind SelfStorageLegal.com, has been guiding self-storage operators in legal matters for many years. He's also been a long-time contributor to ISS magazine and expos, as well as the Self-Storage Training Institute and Self-Storage Talk. Our attendees and readers love Jeff's ability to shed light on critical operational issues while entertaining them with his humor and wit. At this year's ISS Expo, Jeff presented a session titled, "I Can Get in Trouble for That? Common Legal Pitfalls for Self-Storage Operators," in which he addressed operational mistakes that can lead to litigation. He talked about simple errors, such as using a rental agreement that is missing important or required terms, to more complicated issues, such as failing to update documents when your state statute changes.
