A popular attraction in the tech segment of the storage biz is the kiosk, such as this INSOMNIAC unit produced by OpenTech Alliance Inc. Self-storage kiosks, which come in many models and a range of price points, allow consumers to rent units, make payments and manage their accounts, even when the facility is closed or the manager is busy helping other customers. In addition to exhibiting at the show, OpenTech participated in the Technology Marketplace, teaching attendees about the features and benefits of kiosks.
