Troax AB Acquires Swedish Self-Storage Supplier Lagermix Rullportar AB

Troax AB, a Sweden-based supplier of modular mesh panels used for interior building security, has acquired Lagermix Rullportar AB, a Swedish provider of self-storage access-control, roll-up doors and other products. Troax intends to expand the company’s distribution channels beyond the Nordic region, according to a press release. Lagermix Rullportar has annual revenue of about 10 million SEK.

“This is an important step in increasing the Troax offering to the growing segment of self-storage,” said Thomas Widstrand, CEO of parent company Troax Group AB. Lagermix Rullportar will be integrated with the Troax organization. Troax Group has a presence in 31 nations, the release stated.

Jens Pedersen, who founded Lagermix Rullportar, will remain with the company. “It will be, by this acquisition, easier for me to concentrate even more on customers and on new markets, which I am looking forward to,” Pedersen said.

Lagermix Rullportar was part of Lagermix AB, a family-owned company specializing in self-storage products and services. Its sister company, LagerMix Self-Storage, operates three storage facilities in Sweden. Lagermix Rullportar is an international distributor of DBCI, a U.S. manufacturer of self-storage roll-up doors and other building components. The company specializes in doors and access-control products but also offers interior wall-panel systems and security products.

Troax offers its security mesh panels and interior-protection products globally, targeting sectors specializing in automation and robotics, material handling and logistics, and property protection. Troax Group has sales and logistics teams in 31 countries. It employs about 400 people and had net revenue of €90 million in 2014.
