Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Get Free Self-Storage Offer From SpareFoot

To assist TV celebrity Kim Kardashian and rapper Kayne West in storing their belongings while they await the completion of their $11 million Southern California mansion, online self-storage marketplace SpareFoot has offered the couple one year of free self-storage, valued at $1,000. According to TMZ.com, the couple has currently stashed its goods in three storage "vaults" that each rent for about $50 per month.

The high-profile couple has just given birth to a daughter they named North West.

We realize Kim and Kanye can easily afford to rent storage space. However, as a way to congratulate them on their new bundle of joy and to help ease the transition into their new home, SpareFoot is extending this storage offer to the proud new parents, said CEO Chuck Gordon.

A move into a new home and the birth of a child are two of the most common life changes that prompt Americans to rent self-storage space. One of every 10 U.S. households rents a self-storage unit, according to a SpareFoot press release.

All of the changes going on in Kims and Kanyes lives are undoubtedly causing stress, so the decision to put her belongings in storage must bring great peace of mind, Gordon said.

Based in Austin, Texas, and founded in 2008, SpareFoot.com helps consumers find and reserve self-storage units, with comparison shopping tools that show real-time availability and exclusive deals. With a network of more than 6,500 storage facilities ranging from mom-and-pop operations to real estate investment trusts, the company reaches prospective storage renters though partnerships with brands including SelfStorage.com, Apartments.com and Penske Truck Rental. It also provides Web-marketing solutions for storage facility owners and operators including AdNetwork, SiteBuilder and GeoPages.
